Our Mission
The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music is a non-profit community music school enabling students of all ages to enrich their lives with the beauty of music within a nurturing and supportive learning environment fostering fine teaching and learning. Our mission is to provide the highest quality comprehensive musical education to the community by expecting excellence, fostering fine musicianship, and developing creativity and imagination within a respectful learning environment. The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music offers instrumental instruction to students of all ages in piano; jazz piano, guitar, strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, and voice. Instruction is designed to meet the needs of each student, taking into account the background of the individual, previous experience and musical goals. Prospective students are interviewed and a careful assessment is made of each student's strengths and skills. Lessons are taught by established and recognized artist-teachers who actively perform in the Twin Cities area.
The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music subscribes to a comprehensive approach to musical studies, exposing students to the theoretical and historical aspects of music, as well as the joys of performing. This ultimately provides them with the basis for a lifetime of musical fulfillment. Studying within the context of a conservatory environment enables student to participate in recitals, repertoire classes and ensemble experiences. The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music facilities are available for these performances.
