BEGINNING CHORUS
Beginning Chorus provides a wonderful introduction to choral singing for boys and girls, ages 6 through 8 years. Fundamental concepts of music are explored through singing, including note-reading skills, solfege techniques and elementary vocal technique. Part-singing is introduced through canons, descants, ostinatos, and simple two-part harmonies, enabling boys and girls to experience the joy of communal singing. Performance opportunities in the Conservatory as well as in the community will be available.

SAINT PAUL CHILDREN'S CHORUS
The Saint Paul Children's Chorus offers a challenging choral program for boys and girls ages 8 through 14. Acting on the belief that singing is at the core of all music making, this course is an integral asset to the training of all music students. Each choral session includes solfege techniques, sight-reading, vocal technique and both unison and two and three-part singing. Boys and girls will have the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful communal aspects of choral singing while exploring traditional music from many cultures. Performance opportunities within the Conservatory as well as in the community will be available.

CANTABILE
Cantabile is a wonderful Conservatory offering for high school singers, open to young men and women with singing experience. Students will sing in three and four parts, exploring traditional choral literature ranging from Renaissance to 21st century music. Each session will explore essential vocal technique including breathing, diction, sound production, ensemble techniques and performance practices. Although Cantabile is a serious and challenging choral experience, students will also discover the great pleasure found in ensemble singing. Performance opportunities in the Conservatory as well as in the community will be available.
