About Harry Chalmiers:

Harry Chalmiers' broad musical skill set is a result of his formal training in music composition and classical guitar, his experience growing up as a blues/rock guitarist, and his career as a composer, performer, educator, and arts leader. Harry taught at Berklee College of Music and the University of Massachusetts for many years and served as Executive Director of the MacPhail Center for Music, as Vice President for Academic Affairs at Berklee, and as President of McNally Smith College of Music.

Program Description:

Harry’s events are about music, audience interaction, and fun. His rich repertoire includes traditional folk songs, rhythm and blues, songs by popular artists like Bob Dylan and John Lennon, and original tunes by Harry himself. Participants are encouraged to sing along, play percussion instruments, and creatively move to the music while Harry plays the guitar and leads the singing. Every show is different, but the result is always a high-energy celebration of creativity, music, and being together.
