Jenny Slivinski

Woodwinds

Jenny Slivinski is a passionate music educator and multi-instrumentalist that believes in developing a well-rounded musician. Through the development of solid fundamentals, she aims to develop the full artist from the inside out. She strives to nurture individual creativity and expression with the understanding that each student has his or her own voice and unique purpose with the instrument. She is also a strong advocate of complete body awareness: how the entire body aids in the process of creating the ideal sound and how best to use the body in order to avoid pain and unnecessary tensions. Using these ideas, she actively collaborates with each student to form a plan that will nurture their love and enjoyment of music, while meeting their individual performance goals.

Jenny is currently a member of the faculty at Sarah Jane's Music School, Schmitt Music, and The Saint Paul conservatory of Music. In addition, she also maintains a studio in her home in Blaine.

She holds degrees in Music and Business Administration from the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Available for private lessons and group lessons, masterclasses and sectional work either online or in person.

She is an active member of the American Federation of Musicians and the Twin Cities Musicians Union Local 70-30, NAfME (The National Association for Music Education), and UMFA (Upper Midwest Flute Association).
