Flute Teacher

Location: The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music

Description: The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music (SPCM) offers private and partnered lessons in a variety of instruments, taught by professional musicians who are also inspiring teachers. Lessons meet the needs of each student and are based on the background of the individual and the student’s musical goals. 

At this time, the SPCM is seeking one or more Flute teachers to join our faculty. We are looking for teachers who are excited to teach younger students as well as teens and adults. We are eager to hire teachers who are comfortable teaching online as well as in person.

The SPCM has a diverse offering of group classes each semester, including early childhood and family opportunities, choirs, chamber music, and adult ensembles. Faculty members are empowered to develop new programming through the SPCM, and to work as teachers and performers in the wider community.

Duties:
-Provide weekly private lessons for students
-Attend faculty meetings and school events
-Maintain studio schedule and attendance records
-Communicate with SPCM administrative team and with studio families
-Possible daytime performance and teaching opportunities available

Qualifications: Minimum BM in Performance, Music Education, or equivalent life experience, MM or MA preferred. Teachers should also be performers at a professional level and skilled in teaching beginners through advancing levels. Teachers who are comfortable teaching in a second language in addition to English are especially encouraged to apply.

Tuba Teacher
