Marita Link has been teaching voice at the Conservatory since 2002. She’s a cantor, section leader and director of the women’s Gregorian chant schola at St. Louis Church in downtown St. Paul. She performs regularly with the Ensemble Singers of VocalEssence and Ensemble Polaris, and is co-director of Virgin Ground, a women’s vocal trio. She also sings with the Waltham Abbey Singers and Consortium Carissimi, and conspires upon other early music projects. Marita has a voice performance degree from Indiana University, studied at Westminster Choir College, and is an Interlochen alum of both the camp and academy. Over the years in the Twin Cities she’s also sung with the Dale Warland Singers, the Rose Ensemble, Ex Machina Baroque Opera Company, the Lyra Concert and the Gregorian Singers.
Kathy Lee (soprano) is a performer of many styles, but is most sought-after as an early music soprano. In addition to The Rose Ensemble, she has appeared with Virgin Ground, the Gregorian Singers, the Lyra Concert, and the St. Paul Early Music Series. She has toured extensively throughout North America and Europe singing music from Buxtehude to Britten. Kathy is a founding member of the a cappella ensemble Dare to Breathe, with whom she performed several U.S. tours.Kathy is in her 15th year as cantor and soloist at the Church of St. Louis, King of France, and in her third year on the staff of the St. Paul Conservatory of Music.
